JLNO was established in 1924 by a group of women dedicated to improving the Greater New Orleans area and recruited other women volunteers to join the Association of Junior Leagues International. Today, on the horizon of our centennial year, we continue to provide a space to advance women’s leadership through community impact.
We welcome all women who value our Mission and aim to create and retain a membership representing all socio-demographic aspects of our community. We believe that bringing diverse women together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our community.
Our organization is member-centered, impact-driven, and mission focused. Our organizational values of Leadership, Training, Impact, Empowerment, and Diversity guide our work and connections within our organization and beyond to our community.
The core of the JLNO mission is to harness the power of women’s leadership to drive improvement and action in the spaces where we work and live. Whether your focus is on professional or personal training, opportunities to build skills coupled with experiences within JLNO or the community offers spaces to learn and grow.
